This page describes how the Jarloom iPhone game, its server, and this website handle data.

The iPhone game

Your puzzles, plants, earned coins, and decorations are saved on your iPhone only. Game progress is not synced to the cloud.

The game has no analytics, advertising, or tracking, and it does not ask you for personal information.

Accounts

Jarloom starts you as an anonymous guest using Firebase Authentication, so you can play without signing up. If you like, you can link your guest account to Sign in with Apple or to an email address and password. In that case we receive your email address (or the Apple-provided relay address) so you can sign in again and recover your purchases. Linking is optional.

Purchases

Coin packs are bought through the App Store, and Apple handles the payment. Our server keeps a record of your purchases (transaction IDs, products, and your purchased-coin balance) linked to your account, so your coins can be delivered and protected. Purchase reports may also be forwarded to RevenueCat, a purchase-management service. Coins earned by solving puzzles stay on your iPhone.

Game Center

If you are signed in to Game Center, the game can report achievements and a progress score to it. Game Center is run by Apple under its own privacy policy, and we collect no additional data from it.

Notifications

Notifications are optional and only asked for after you place your first plant. If you turn them on, a notification token for your device is sent to our server through Firebase Cloud Messaging so we can send occasional updates and announcements. You can turn notifications off in the app's Profile or in iOS Settings, and the token is deleted when you delete your account.

This website

The puzzle on this page runs in your browser. It does not save anything, set cookies, or send data anywhere.

This site has no analytics, advertising, or forms.

Hosting

Whoever hosts this website or the game server may keep ordinary server logs, such as IP addresses and the requests made.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account from the app. We then delete your sign-in account, wallet, and balance history from our server. Purchase records are kept in anonymised form, without a link to you, for accounting and refund handling. Deleting your account does not erase the progress saved on your iPhone.

Erasing your data

Use Reset progress in the game's Settings, or delete the app, to remove the progress saved on your iPhone.
